Editor's Note: An attempt was made to request copyright permission to reprint the article "Adirondack Life" magazine, At Home in the Adirondacks 2020, "Camp Cobblestone Refresh", pages 70-75. The magazine replied that they did not have the ability to grant permission since the content of the article was an excerpt from Harvey h. Kaiser, "Renovations and Replacements" from Great Camps of the Adirondacks, pp. 187-195. Copyright © Harvey H. Kaiser, who is deceased. A review by several knowledgeable individuals recommended that this structure be included in the Cobblestone Info Base as an example of "faux" cobblestone architecture:

Thanks for doing this research. I think you should use it. Would this be the latest (1910) that you have found in your work? I see it seems to lack quoins and the stones decrease in size as you progress upward...It's quite a hybrid of sorts. Doug Farley, Director, Cobblestone Society and Museum, email 11/20/2025.

Editor's Note: Yes, this is an example of late cobblestone construction, but not the latest, for example Gen-1 W_P_Wadsworth 1912, an example of authentic cobblestone construction. A number of conventual structures with authentic cobblestone veneer added have been constructed since then. Doug Farley email 11/20/2025.

This should be listed in the Faux category. Erin Anheier email 11/20/2025.

I agree with Erin: a property for the "Faux" category. An important, and likely, one of the largest examples in this category. Cynthia Howk" email 11/20/2025.
